WVH has opened a new East Coast distribution center in Chester, Virginia, expanding its U.S. fulfillment network and positioning inventory closer to customers across the eastern half of the country.
The 108,000-square-foot facility, located in the Greater Richmond area, will operate alongside WVH’s existing distribution hub in Tolleson, Arizona. The company said the new site was developed in response to growing order volume across the East Coast, particularly in markets such as New York and Florida.
“This exciting addition is a direct response to the rapid growth we’ve seen across the region,” said Aaron Eisenberg, CEO of WVH. “By pairing our primary Arizona hub with a dedicated East Coast facility, we can position our collections closer to the architects, designers, contractors and customers who specify our materials most.”
Located near Interstates 95 and 64, the Chester facility will serve as a dedicated stocking and fulfillment point for orders east of the Mississippi River.
The center will manage receiving, storage, picking, packing and outbound shipping. WVH said the expanded distribution footprint will increase supply chain capacity while helping reduce long-haul freight requirements as the company continues to grow across North America.
According to WVH, approximately 60 percent of its U.S. order volume is supported by the new East Coast facility.
WVH supplies wood veneers, decorative panels and related surface products for architecture, interiors and design applications. The company has operated in the wood veneer industry for more than 50 years.
