New plant will begin operation in summer 2019 at Starwood headquarters in İnegöl, in the Bursa province

Starwood Orman Ürünleri Sanayi A.S., a Turkish pioneer in particleboard production, has ordered a particleboard plant with an annual capacity of 460,000 m3 from Dieffenbacher for its headquarters in İnegöl, in the Bursa province. The new plant is scheduled to go online in the summer of 2019.

"Most of all, it was the leading-edge particleboard forming and pressing technology demonstrated to us during plant visits that led to the decision to order a plant from Dieffenbacher," said Starwood member of the Board Hüseyin Yildiz during the contract signing at Dieffenbacher headquarters in Eppingen. Starwood will use the new plant predominantly to manufacture thin boards with a thickness range of 6–8 mm.

With a 4-head forming station that includes optimized windformers with additional roller screens, and a CPS+, the gold standard for efficient continuous press systems, Starwood will add a state-of-the-art, high-end production facility to its location in İnegöl.

Also included is a gluing system featuring glue preparation and dosing, a press exhaust system and the plant’s entire automation, control and quality control systems. Additionally, Starwood has ordered the raw board handling system, automated board storage system and the sanding line, all of which are to be integrated into the existing infrastructure.
