Häfele America has appointed Olivier Vareille as President, signaling a strategic leadership transition aimed at strengthening growth, operational performance, and customer engagement across the North American market.
Vareille succeeds Paul Smith, who retired in April after 15 years leading the organization through a period of sustained expansion. The appointment marks a new chapter for the architectural hardware and fittings supplier as it continues to build on its position in cabinetry, furniture, and interior solutions.
Bringing extensive experience in global manufacturing and building systems, Vareille joins Häfele America from Viessmann North America, where he served as President and CEO. His background also includes senior leadership roles with Bosch Power Tools, spanning marketing, sales, and product development, culminating in leadership of the company’s North American operations.
“Olivier brings a proven track record of leadership and a strong cultural alignment with our organization,” said Gregor Riekena, Global CEO of Häfele. “We are confident he will help guide Häfele America through its next phase of growth.”
Smith expressed confidence in the transition, noting the company’s strong foundation and future trajectory under new leadership. Vareille emphasized a commitment to advancing Häfele America’s customer-centric approach while continuing to evolve operational capabilities and differentiate in a competitive marketplace.
Häfele America, part of the global Häfele Group, supplies furniture and architectural hardware, lighting, and access solutions designed to enhance functionality across residential and commercial environments. The leadership transition comes as demand continues to grow for integrated hardware systems and value-added solutions within the panel, cabinetry, and interior construction sectors.
