Chemical Concepts has announced the retirement of Sales VP Craig Zelle following more than five decades with the company, closing a career that helped shape the organization and its relationships with customers and suppliers.
Zelle’s involvement with Chemical Concepts spans generations, with the company crediting him with playing an important role in its growth and in developing many of the long-standing industry relationships that continue today.
“Fifty years of service is an exceptional accomplishment, and we are tremendously appreciative of Craig’s dedication to Chemical Concepts and to the many people and organizations we have had the privilege of working with along the way,” the company said in announcing his retirement.

Throughout his career, Zelle worked closely with customers, suppliers and industry partners, relationships the company said remained particularly important to him as he prepared for retirement.
For the surface and panel industry, Chemical Concepts supplies adhesives, tapes, sealants and related specialty products used across woodworking, cabinetry, furniture, architectural panels, laminating and other manufacturing applications.
The company said it has been preparing for the transition, with its sales and customer service teams working to assume responsibilities and maintain continuity for customers and suppliers.

While contacts and responsibilities will shift following Zelle’s retirement, Chemical Concepts said its approach to technical support, customer service and supplier relationships will remain unchanged.
The company thanked Zelle for his more than 50 years of service and credited the relationships he developed throughout his career with helping establish a foundation for Chemical Concepts’ next chapter.
