Con-Vey President Jeremy Goebel has been named to the Wood Industry 40 Under 40 Class of 2026, recognizing his leadership, innovation and contributions to the North American wood products manufacturing industry.
Goebel, 38, was selected for the annual recognition presented by Woodworking Network and was honored alongside fellow recipients during an Aug. 25 leadership reception at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, held in conjunction with IWF 2026.
Now in its 11th year, the 40 Under 40 program recognizes professionals under age 40 for contributions in areas including leadership, innovation, product development and manufacturing productivity.
Goebel joined Con-Vey in 2013 as a sales representative and advanced through roles including sales manager and vice president before being named president in 2025. He now leads the company’s day-to-day operations and helps guide its development of automation and material handling solutions for wood products manufacturers.
“Jeremy’s career at Con-Vey is a great example of what happens when you combine drive, curiosity, and a genuine commitment to solving problems for our customers,” said Dave Larecy, CEO of Con-Vey. “He has earned the respect of our team and our customers by consistently stepping up, taking on challenges, and turning ideas into solutions.”
Among Goebel’s recent accomplishments is his role in developing Con-Vey’s patented Edge-Damming System. Goebel spearheaded the patent process for the technology, which was developed in response to a manufacturing challenge and has since received industry recognition and innovation awards.
Following the success of its original installation, the system has also been sold for additional applications, extending the technology beyond the project for which it was initially developed.
“The most rewarding part of this project has been seeing an idea move from a manufacturing challenge to a solution that genuinely creates value for our customer,” Goebel said. “Getting it patented and recognized by the industry is exciting, but what means the most is knowing the system works, the customer is happy with it, and we’re now able to bring that solution to other manufacturers.”
Goebel’s recognition comes as automation, material handling and production efficiency continue to play an increasingly important role across the surface and panel industry, as manufacturers seek technologies that can improve throughput, address labor challenges and increase plant productivity.
Based in Roseburg, Oregon, Con-Vey develops automated material handling, conveying and production systems for wood products manufacturers and other industrial applications.
