Richelieu is continuing its North American growth strategy with three acquisitions that expand its offerings in decorative surfaces, acoustic materials and specialty hardware — key product categories serving the architecture, design and woodworking industries.

The company announced the acquisitions of Fini U.V. International Inc. (Finium) in Quebec, Distributions Air-Cube Inc. (Solutions Acoustiques) in the Greater Montreal area, and Winnec Inc. in the Greater Toronto Area. Together, the businesses add approximately $27 million in annual sales and strengthen Richelieu's position in high-growth architectural product markets.

The acquisitions follow Richelieu's earlier purchase of three McKillican American distribution centers in Oregon and Washington, bringing the company's total acquisition activity in fiscal 2026 to four transactions representing approximately $45 million in annual sales.

Of particular interest to the surface and panel industry, Finium manufactures and distributes premium decorative and acoustic wall panels for residential and commercial interiors, while Solutions Acoustiques specializes in architectural acoustic products designed to improve both performance and aesthetics in built environments. Winnec expands Richelieu's distribution network for specialty hardware throughout the Greater Toronto market.

"Our expansion strategy continues to focus on companies that bring valuable expertise, specialized products and strong customer relationships," said Richard Lord, president and chief executive officer of Richelieu. "The addition of Finium and Solutions Acoustiques strengthens our leadership in decorative and acoustic solutions—two fast-growing market segments — while expanding our presence among architects and designers across North America."

The acquisitions come as Richelieu reported second-quarter sales of $532.1 million, up 3.9 percent year over year, with growth in both Canada and the United States. Sales within the company's manufacturing market increased 3.8 percent, driven by a combination of organic growth and acquisitions.

Richelieu said it continues to evaluate additional acquisition opportunities as part of its long-term strategy, leveraging a strong financial position to expand its portfolio of products and services for manufacturers, fabricators, architects, designers and woodworking professionals across North America.

For the surface and panel industry, the continued investment signals growing demand for integrated decorative and acoustic solutions that combine design, performance and functionality in commercial and residential environments.
