Thermwood Corporation has released the first episode of its new video series, You Betcha, an ongoing educational and innovation-focused program designed to highlight the power, flexibility, and real-world capabilities of Thermwood CNC systems.

You Betcha will feature rotating topics across Thermwood’s advanced manufacturing technologies, including LSAM additive manufacturing, CutLayer technology, Cut Center software, CNC tips and workflows, and both 3 Axis and 5 Axis CNC systems such as the MAX5.

Each episode is built around common customer questions and practical challenges faced in production environments. In the debut episode, Thermwood tackles one of the most frequently asked questions in CNC manufacturing. “If I have a CNC program written for another brand of machine, can I run it on a Thermwood?” The answer is simple. You Betcha!

The episode explains why the CNC controller is the true brain of the machine and how controller design directly impacts flexibility, performance, and long-term support. Thermwood highlights a key differentiator in the industry. Its ULTRA 6 SuperControl is designed, built, and supported in Dale, Indiana, along with the software that runs it. Unlike many CNC controls developed and sourced overseas, Thermwood’s in-house control and software development allows for deeper integration, faster innovation, and unmatched adaptability.

That foundation makes advanced tools like the THM Converter possible. In the episode, viewers see how the THM Converter allows users to create custom conversion rules that translate another machine’s G-code structure into a Thermwood-ready program. This significantly reduces manual edits, shortens changeover time, and helps shops transition programs more efficiently.

The video also introduces THM Desktop, a PC-based version of the Thermwood control software. THM Desktop mirrors the machine control, allowing users to build and manage converters at their desk, then seamlessly sync data to and from the CNC machine.

With You Betcha, Thermwood aims to provide clear, practical insight into what its systems can do and how manufacturers can get more value from their investment. Each episode is designed to be informative, approachable, and rooted in real production needs.

The first episode of You Betcha is available now. Future episodes will continue to explore Thermwood technologies, workflows, and innovations that help manufacturers work smarter, faster, and more efficiently.
