Schattdecor SE has announced a reorganization of its Executive Board, aligning leadership responsibilities to support the company’s long-term strategic development and strengthen collaboration across customer-facing functions.

As part of the transition, Robert Vuga has stepped down from his role as Executive Board member responsible for Global Sales by mutual agreement to pursue new professional opportunities.

Robert Vuga

Vuga spent 26 years with the Schattdecor Group, serving in a variety of international leadership positions and helping shape the company’s global growth. Since 2024, he has overseen worldwide sales operations, guiding the organization through a period of significant structural and strategic change.

Schattdecor thanked Vuga for his contributions and recognized his role in advancing the company’s global sales organization and broader corporate development.

In conjunction with his departure, Claudia Küchen will assume responsibility for Global Sales in addition to her current leadership roles overseeing Design, Marketing and Communications.

The company said combining these functions under a single Executive Board division will create closer alignment between market strategy, customer engagement, brand development and sales activities.

The move reflects Schattdecor’s broader effort to streamline decision-making and strengthen customer focus across its global operations.

With the changes, Schattdecor’s Executive Board will consist of four members:

  • Claudia Küchen, responsible for Global Sales, Design, Marketing and Communications
  • Dr. Derick Beitel, Executive Board spokesperson responsible for Finance, IT and Human Resources
  • Claus Neuffer, responsible for Technology, Technical Decor Development and Sustainability
  • Michael Then, responsible for Production and Procurement

According to the company, the reorganization strategically consolidates key business functions within a focused leadership structure while reinforcing collaboration between sales, design and marketing teams.

For the surface and panel industry, the move underscores the growing importance of integrating customer insights, décor development and commercial strategy as manufacturers respond to evolving design trends, sustainability demands and global market dynamics.

The leadership changes take effect immediately.
