Leadership Change at the Siempelkamp Group

Dr. Stephan Niggeschmidt takes over management of the Business Unit Service from Stefan Wissing as of July 1, 2025.

Siempelkamp Group recently announced that Dr. Stephan Niggeschmidt will assume the role of CEO of the Business Unit Service and simultaneously becomes a member of the Management Board of the Siempelkamp Holding effective July 1, 2025.

He succeeds Stefan Wissing, who is retiring after decades of committed work for the Siempelkamp Group. In the months up to the end of 2025, Stefan Wissing will accompany this transition phase as a member of the Management Board of the Siempelkamp Holding, the Business Unit Service and of the Siempelkamp subsidiary Pallmann.

“The decision to take this step is based on personal reasons,” says Stefan Wissing. “I had been planning for a long time to retire at the young age of 60. I am very pleased to hand over my responsibilities and roles to my highly esteemed colleague Stephan Niggeschmidt. He will ensure a smooth transition and continuity in our customer relationships.”

Dr. Stephan Niggeschmidt has been contributing his extensive experience in the industry and after-sales service to the Siempelkamp Group for the past 12 years." After completing his doctorate in industrial engineering, he began his professional career in 2010 with SMS in Mönchengladbach. In 2013 he joined Siempelkamp as the head of the technical field service department. In 2018, he was promoted to Managing Director at Siempelkamp Logistics & Service GmbH.

He is also Managing Director of Siempelkamp’s Turkish subsidiary in Istanbul, whose establishment he played a key role in driving forward. In 2023, he became a member on the Management Board of the Business Unit Service. This Business Unit develops and coordinates Siempelkamp Group’s global service activities. As part of this effort, the Siempelkamp Service Excellence Initiative was established.

It brings together the Group’s global expertise to deliver outstanding, integrated service from a single source. This includes, among other services, spare parts supply, technical field and remote services, as well as comprehensive modernizations and retrofits of Siempelkamp’s plant technology.

Wissing reflects on a long career within the Siempelkamp Group. He joined the group in 1996 and has since held various responsible leadership positions within the Siempelkamp Group, both nationally and internationally.

With his commitment and expertise, officials say Wissing has been instrumental in the development of Siempelkamp and has made a significant contribution to the success of the Siempelkamp Group.

The Management Board of the Siempelkamp Group thanks Wissing for his many years of highly successful service and wishes him all the best for the future, both professionally and privately. The Board welcomes Dr. Stephan Niggeschmidt to his new role and wishes him all the best and every success.
