Shinichiro “Ichi” Yamamoto has been named the new President of Riken U.S.A., to follow the retirement of Katsu Mizushima.

The change will take effect at the end of June 2025, with Mizushima having served 19 years in the role. Company officials praised his unwavering dedication and say his leadership has been instrumental in driving the company’s growth. “Known throughout the industry for his professionalism and hard work — not to mention his passion for golf — Katsu has left an indelible mark,” says a company release, which also shared that Mizushima “looks forward to continued travels (as many of you know, he’s rarely stayed in one place for long!) and spending more time with family and friends.”
Yamamoto recently relocated from Tokyo, Japan to Michigan, and brings extensive expertise in thermofoil films as well as a diverse range of functional films. “His knowledge and experience will be invaluable in driving Riken’s continued success,” according to the company release.
