Frama-Tech LLC, North America’s fastest-growing distributor of edgebanding, recently announced the acquisition of EdgeCo Inc., a leading distributor serving the Northeast United States.
Under the terms of the transaction, which is set to close on January 2nd, 2026, Frama-Tech will acquire the assets of EdgeCo, and integrate its employees, inventories, operations, and sales into Frama-Tech’s.
Beginning in the new year, all EdgeCo customers can continue to expect the same high service levels as they are used to plus have expanded access to Frama-Tech’s industry-leading selection of edgebanding products and services. Both companies’ teams will work closely together to make an orderly transition that benefits all customers.
As part of the acquisition, EdgeCo’s co-founder, George Kaye, will join Frama-Tech’s Board of Directors. Erik Kaye and Heather Dowd will also assume leadership roles within Frama-Tech as Vice President of Business Development and Operations (Northeast) and People Operations Manager, respectively.
“With the integration of EdgeCo and its exceptional talent, Frama-Tech can better serve customers across the continental United States and fill an important gap in our distribution network. We are excited to bring EdgeCo’s unique product offerings—such as peel-and-stick edges and screw covers to our customers across North America,” said Omar Garza, CEO of Frama-Tech.
The acquisition reinforces Frama-Tech’s mission to provide unmatched product availability, technical expertise, and customer service across every major market. Customers in the Northeast can expect fast delivery times, expanded product options such as digitally printed edgebands, and enhanced service as Frama-Tech integrates EdgeCo’s Long Island operations.
“It was important to us to partner with a company that will carry forward our heritage of serving customers and treating expert employees with the respect they have earned, and I think this joining of EdgeCo and Frama-Tech will be additive to the customer and employee experience,” says Kaye. “We’re excited about our future together.”
