EGGER Group has signed an agreement to acquire a 30 percent minority stake in Sinowolf, a Chinese manufacturer of edge banding products serving the furniture and interior design industries.

The transaction is expected to close by November 2026, subject to agreed review and closing conditions. Sinowolf will remain independently managed, continue operating under its existing brand and maintain its current customer relationships and organization.

Founded in 2007, Sinowolf operates manufacturing facilities in Zhaoqing, Guangdong, and Huzhou, Zhejiang, with combined annual capacity of approximately 1 billion meters of edge banding. The company exports to more than 30 countries and produces PVC, ABS, PP and PMMA edging products, along with digital printing and laser-edge technologies.

Sinowolf is also expanding into surfacing materials.

“The global edging market offers significant opportunities for further development,” said Thomas Leissing, CFO of EGGER. “By partnering with Sinowolf, we are combining complementary strengths in technology, manufacturing expertise and market access.”

EGGER said the partnership will combine its capabilities in décor, surfaces, wood-based materials and edging with Sinowolf’s specialized manufacturing expertise, flexibility, digital printing capabilities and customer-specific matching services.

The investment also adds manufacturing capacity and regional flexibility to EGGER’s existing edging network, which includes competence centers in Gebze, Turkey, and Brilon, Germany.

For Sinowolf, the partnership is expected to create additional opportunities for international expansion while allowing the company to retain its independent operating structure.

“We see EGGER as the ideal strategic partner for the next phase of our development,” said Wilson Chu, CEO of Sinowolf. “This partnership opens up new international opportunities for Sinowolf while allowing us to continue building on the strengths that have made our company successful.”

Both companies said customers are expected to see continuity in existing contacts, product quality and service while gaining access to a broader international base of manufacturing and technical expertise.

EGGER, headquartered in St. Johann in Tirol, Austria, operates 22 production plants worldwide and manufactures wood-based materials for furniture, interior design, timber construction and flooring. The company reported revenue of approximately €4.26 billion in fiscal 2025/2026.
