Weyerhaeuser has selected Gallatin, Tennessee, as the site of its 22nd distribution center, expanding support for lumber and building material dealers throughout the Southeast. The greenfield project will mark the company’s first distribution facility in Tennessee.
The new location is designed to strengthen dealer access to specialty building products while improving delivery efficiency and responsiveness across key Southeast markets, according to company officials.
“This expansion helps us support more dealers throughout the Southeast by delivering products and solutions with improved efficiency and responsiveness,” said Leigh Hudspeth, East Division general manager for Weyerhaeuser. “Weyerhaeuser has a long history of connection in the places where we operate, and we’re excited to be part of Gallatin’s thriving community.”
The Gallatin distribution center will include 96,250 square feet of covered warehouse storage on 13.83 acres, with 6 acres of yard space to support inbound and outbound shipments. The site is located within 15 miles of major transportation corridors, including Interstate 40 and Interstate 65, positioning it to efficiently serve growing markets such as Nashville and Knoxville, Tennessee, as well as Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Weyerhaeuser said the new facility will support continued growth for its proprietary product lines, including Trus Joist engineered lumber products, Weyerhaeuser enhanced OSB flooring panels and Weyerhaeuser Framer Series lumber. The center will also allow the company to expand access to specialty brands serving residential, multifamily and light commercial construction.
Expected to be fully operational by late 2026, the Gallatin distribution center will complement Weyerhaeuser’s existing service network in Richmond, Charlotte and Atlanta, further strengthening supply and service capabilities for Southeast dealers.
