Kastamonu Entegre has achieved a growth that is high above the average in the last 10 years. The distinction created by the company in the sector is behind its sustainable growth and success.

Kastamonu Entegre Ağaç Sanayi was established in Istanbul in 1969 to produce in the wood based panel sector. The company started production with the Particle Board Factory, its first facility, in Kastamonu in 1971. Today Kastamonu Entegre Ağaç Sanayi produces the particle board, Yongalam, MDF, Medelam, laminate parquet, door panels, glossy panels, counters and other value added products related to these that the furniture, decoration and construction sectors need.

Implementing a successful product diversification strategy, our company began producing MDF in 1994, laminate parquet in 1999 and door panels in 2002.

As of 2016; the company, which has a total annual capacity of 2.45 million m³ MDF (including 19,5 million door panels and 76 million m² laminate parquet from MDF production), 2.55 million m³ particle board, is not only the leader in Turkey but also ranks 4th in Europe and 7th in the world. Following a geographical expansion strategy by establishing factories close to sources of raw materials and the market in its own sector, Kastamonu Entegre produces domestically in Gebze (Izmit), Kastamonu, Balıkesir, Samsun, Tarsus (Mersin) and Adana; and internationally in Romania, Bulgaria, the Russian Federation (Tatarstan) and Bosnia-Herzegovina for a total of 5 countries, 10 different locations and 14 different facilities. 

As of the end of 2015; Kastamonu Entegre, which reached a turnover of 1.2 billion US dollars, with its over 5,500 qualified employees on a consolidated basis, exports its collection comprised of raw and melamine coated particle board, glossy panel, MDF, laminate parquet, door panels and counters needed by the furniture, decoration and construction sector and the added value products also needed in the sector to 93 countries. 

The sales made by Kastamonu Entegre outside of Turkey comprise nearly 30% of its total turnover.

As a highly reputable global brand in the international markets Kastamonu Entegre continues to rise and as of the end of 2015 was ranked 7th in the global market and 4th in the European market for wood based panel production.

The main goal in our policy to expand internationally is to make Kastamonu Entegre one of the top 5 wood based panel producers in the world and to become a global brand. Target country work will be conducted with the Turquality program in line with our international expansion goal. 

Kastamonu Entegre continues to expand its range of products with an innovative approach. Having succeeded as a result of long term R&D work to produce a decorative glossy surface GlossMax product with 2.10 m width, our company is the first and continues to be the only company in the world with the capability to provide the market with a product of this width creating a market with no rivals.

The Technotop and Neotop kitchen counters being presented to the market, production starting on acrylic panel and the laminate parquet product with 4 chamfered sides are all among our innovative work. Currently Kastamonu Entegre is working on innovative products like anti-fingerprint, mat surfaces, anti-microbial, anti-static and painted MDF products. With our goal to become an “Innovative and reliable” global brand we wish to continue with these innovations in 2020 and beyond.  

The leader of the Turkish market with our domestic and foreign sales figures as well as our innovative product portfolio, Kastamonu Entegre also became the “Champion of Growth in the Last 10 Years” according to the study published in the August 2014 edition of the Capital Journal with a successful financial and operational performance and an annual growth performance as the result of investments towards expanding production capacity. According to the “Turkey’s Largest 500 Industrial Companies List-2015 ” prepared based on data from the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, Kastamonu Entegre is ranked 41th. 

Kastamonu Entegre, which has focused on increasing domestic and international market shares by product groups, places great importance on innovation work concerning product, service, brand, field of activity, work processes and technology use. Following the innovations in the sector very closely, Kastamonu Entegre updates patterns and sizes according to the new trends.

With a 30% share of the market in Turkey, Kastamonu Entegre has been investing in new markets outside of Turkey in recent years to achieve sustainable growth. Despite the consideration to increase the market share to a degree in Turkey the main goal is to emphasize growth abroad. 

Kastamonu Entegre possesses an ISO 9001 Quality Management System, OHSAS 18001 Work Health and Safety, ISO 50001 Energy Management, ISO 27001 Information Security Management System, FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) quality systems certificates, TSE E0 Certificate for Medepan brand MDF products and the CARB Phase 2 (California Air Resources Board) certificate obtained from WKI (Fraunhofer Institute for Wood Research), one of the world’s most important certification organizations. Also the company produces in accordance with TSE and European Norms (EN). In addition to the TSE Turkish Standards conformity certificates that the company has for all products, it has been certified that all the surfaces of all products are hygienic. Floorpan and Artfloor brand Laminate Parquet products have a “CE” marked in accordance with the EN14041 standard and the Medepan, Medelam, Teknopan and Teknolam products produced in Gebze are “CE” marked according to the EN13986 standard.
