These announcements are proof of Tafisa® Canada’s industry-leading vision and second-to-none production flexibility

QUEBEC, CANADA, August 24, 2016—Tafisa® Canada, North America’s leading particleboard and TFL decorative panel manufacturer, made two major announcements today: the start-up of its 5th TFL press and the on-time delivery of initial orders for its new collection with an embossed and in-registered texture called VIVA™.

Tafisa® Canada’s new TFL press represents an investment of over 15 million dollars and includes cutting-edge embossed and in-register (EIR) technology. This production line enables Tafisa® Canada to offer two-sided embossed and in-register textured panels in two dimensions, 4’ x 8’ and 5’ x 9’—an industry first enabling Tafisa® to set new standards.

“Our 5th TFL press is yet another example of our company’s ability to provide unprecedented flexibility and impressive production capabilities attuned to the market’s growing demand for high quality, value added products,” explained Louis Brassard, Tafisa® Canada’s CEO.

What is more, thanks to the on-schedule start-up of its new production line, Tafisa® confirms that it has achieved its objective of shipping the initial orders of its new VIVA™ EIR panels in time for IWF in Atlanta.

VIVA™ boasts an unprecedented list of features that echoes the innovative vision which has been the hallmark of Tafisa® since day one:

  • Two panel dimensions (4’ x 8’ and 5’ x 9’), which have matching patterns, textures and colours, and can be mixed and matched regardless of size
  • Two-sided embossed and in-register texture (EIR) giving panels the look and feel of wood
  • Micro-precision synchro registration
  • Three distinct wood structures: Elegant, Rustic and Planked Effect
  • 10 stunningly beautiful colours that can meld into any traditional or contemporary decor

In addition, VIVA™ texture comes with a wide range of complementary products, including high-pressure laminates, edgebandings, doors, 3D laminates and mouldings. All of these work together to provide end-user customers with a complete package of complementary products.

“I am very proud and impressed at how the Tafisa® team pulled together to implement this new technology and achieve our objective of having Viva™ orders ready for delivery at the end of August. This marks a new milestone in our company’s history,” Mr. Brassard added.
