Thansau (07.06.2017) – In a 700 square meter space, Thansau based Schattdecor presented its new products and design trends to visitors from all over the world at Interzum in Cologne, May 16-19, 2017. Especially with its digitally printed stone decors in oversized repeats and innovative floor coverings for modular flooring systems, the surface specialist caught a lot of attention and was able to attract the interest of trade show visitors.

Under the theme “MULTIDIMENSIONAL LIFESTYLES,” Schattdecor divided its fair booth into four sections to present its latest design trends: Community Zone, Ageless Living, Smart Home and Micro Housing. In this context, fair visitors were invited to take a guided tour, organized by Schattdecor designers, to be inspired by the latest décor trends. All four topics are summarized in the Trendbook where Schattdecor describes the furnishing trends of tomorrow. The book also gives an overview of design, material and color to product developers and designers.

Numerous digitally printed stone decors were integrated into the trend sections, which demonstrated the impressive potential of digital printing with oversized repeats of up to five meters. Here, the digital printing was presented as a perfect complement to the traditional decor printing. Décor highlights from the fair were “Kitami,” “Catania Oak,” “Jackson Hickory,” “Wasabi” and “Barcelona.”

The flooring in the booth also attracted a lot of attention. Schattdecor presented their new PVC-free product, Proflex 3D, on a grand scale for the first time. An ecological PP-foil forms the base of Proflex 3D, which is printed and provided with a thermoplastic wear layer on top afterwards. The result is a flexible, elastic surface that is characterized especially by its high durability and resistance. The structured surface possesses a natural feel and appearance, is warm to the feet and low maintenance. Therefore, Proflex 3D is the perfect solution for environmentally conscious customers. In addition, many more new products were shown, such as Decolay Real, Smartfoil Evo und Smartfoil Mat+. These new products demonstrate features such as décor synchronicity, a classy veneer look and anti-fingerprint effects.

In addition to new products and design trends, Schattdecor presented further innovations: a newly developed app that enables customers to get more information about a décor after scanning it with a mobile device. The content of the company’s website was completely revised and its structure was optimized. The booth party rounded out Schattdecor’s appearance at Interzum in Cologne. The theme of the evening was “Servus” and the party was dedicated to Reiner Schulz, who recently resigned as CEO.

“At this trade fair we have shown consistently how Schattdecor has developed into a surface specialist. With our Interzum booth we have inspired our visitors with fireworks of new products, deign trends and innovations. We are proud of our employees and feel confident in our work. Through the exceptionally positive feedback from fair visitors, we are encouraged to continue expanding our portfolio. We look into the future with confidence and enthusiasm,” Roland Auer, CEO of Schattdecor AG.
