Richelieu President and CEO Richard Lord has been inducted into Pembroke Management’s Hall of Fame, a highlighting his role in building one of Québec’s fastest growing and most successful companies.
The honor was announced during a recent Montréal event featuring a live fireside chat between Lord and Nicolas Chevalier, Managing Partner at Pembroke.

Under Lord’s leadership, Richelieu has transformed into a major North American distributor serving the construction and renovation industries. As a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Management and of the Order of Chartered Professional Accountants, Lord has led the Saint-Damase-de-L’Islet–based company through decades of expansion.
“Under Mr. Lord’s leadership, Richelieu Hardware’s revenue increased from $27 million to $2 billion in 2025 thanks to a growth strategy focused on innovation and customer satisfaction, supported by more than 98 acquisitions,” said Chevalier. “As a result of his ambition, Richelieu is now a North American leader in the distribution of products for the construction and renovation industries.”
The recognition places Lord among previously honored industry leaders, including Jay Hennick (Colliers, 2024) and Alain Bouchard (Alimentation Couche-Tard, 2023).
Responding to the induction, Mr. Lord credited Richelieu’s employees for the company’s continued success:
“Our teams have been working very hard for years to expand our offering and strengthen our presence across North America. This honor reflects on everyone who is part of the Richelieu team.”
