New On-line Design Center for Laminates and Synthetic Leather Upholstery

BEACHWOOD, OHIO USA – November, 14 2016 – OMNOVA Solutions Inc. (NYSE: OMN), launched a new online Design Center for its laminates and synthetic leather upholstery ( Developed using customer insights and user-centered design principles, the new OMNOVA Design Center simplifies material selection, providing designers, specifiers, laminators and fabricators with easy-to-use tools and fast access to important technical information.

Recognizing the rise in mobile technology and the shift in workplace demographics and behaviors, the Design Center was developed using responsive design principles to perform equally well on a wide range of devices. “This is a true cross-platform tool,” said Patti Draper Doychak, OMNOVA’s Digital Marketing Director. “Whether using a desktop computer, tablet or smart phone, the site provides a consistent experience making material selection fast and easy.”
The user experience begins with advanced searching and filtering by the criteria most important to the user’s project. OMNOVA’s coated fabrics and laminates have been matched to the various markets where they make sense, based on the material’s performance attributes and design. Additionally, users can search for coated fabrics based on whether they are looking for a solid or print, color scheme, regulatory requirements such as fire-safety standards, environmental considerations, construction, and more. OMNOVA’s laminates can be filtered based on the desired design style including woodgrain species, laminate construction, the fabrication method or even the substrate.
Once a user has narrowed a search, OMNOVA’s Design Center offers crisp, high-resolution images, which are helpful in viewing the product with greater realism and accuracy. The images are available for download and can be used to create design boards for client presentations.

As a value-added feature, the Design Center offers an image of how the selected design looks on a finished product. This visualization provides a helpful view of the scale of the design in use, enabling selection of just the right upholstery or laminate.
OMNOVA’s Design Center also includes detailed product specifications so a user can confirm that the selected material will meet the needs of the project. Specifications include construction details, performance characteristics and specifications.
For sample ordering, a streamlined shopping cart experience provides easy order placement and confirmation, enabling busy users to make final selections and move on to other aspects of their project.
