Georgia-Pacific named David Duncan president and CEO, effective immediately, placing the longtime executive at the helm of the nearly 100-year-old Atlanta-based manufacturing company.
Duncan most recently served as executive vice president of Georgia-Pacific’s consumer products group. He succeeds Mark Luetters, executive vice president of Koch, Inc., who had been serving as Georgia-Pacific’s interim president and CEO since 2025.
Duncan joined Georgia-Pacific in 2018 as executive vice president of the company’s building products business before moving into the top consumer products leadership role in 2019. Prior to joining Georgia-Pacific, he served as president of performance solutions at INVISTA. Over the course of more than 28 years with Koch companies, Duncan has also held roles including managing director for Koch Ventures and Koch Equity Development, chief financial officer for Koch Minerals, and multiple leadership positions at INVISTA.

At the same time, Georgia-Pacific announced that Vivek Joshi will become executive vice president of the consumer products business. Joshi currently serves as president of the company’s consumer tissue, towel and napkins business.
Joshi joined Georgia-Pacific in 2002 as a marketing manager for the Dixie® Foodservice food wrap business. During his 23-year career with the company, he has held a range of leadership roles across the consumer products segment, including vice president of innovation and business development, senior vice president of marketing effectiveness, vice president and general manager of the Dixie® business, and senior vice president and general manager of the tissue business.
According to Georgia-Pacific, Joshi has played a key role in major investments across the consumer products business and in strengthening performance for brands including Angel Soft®, Brawny®, Dixie®, Sparkle®, Quilted Northern® and Vanity Fair®.
“I’m honored and grateful for the opportunity to lead an organization full of talented and dedicated people who work together across Georgia-Pacific to deliver results every day,” Duncan said. “I also want to congratulate Vivek on his new role. He has been a strong leader within our consumer products business for many years, and I’m excited to continue working closely with him as he steps into this expanded responsibility.”
