Con-Vey marks eight decades of growth rooted in craftsmanship, problem-solving, and community commitment with its 80th anniversary in 2026.
Founded in 1946 as Keystone Machine Works, the company began as a small fabrication and machine shop serving local sawmills and industries across Southern Oregon. That foundation of hands-on repair work and custom fabrication continues to shape Con-Vey’s approach today.
Over the decades, Con-Vey evolved alongside the industries it serves. What started as repair and fabrication expanded into material handling, custom machinery, and eventually advanced automation and robotics solutions. Through multiple ownership transitions and strategic growth — including becoming Con-Vey Keystone in the 1970s and later Con-Vey LLC — one constant remained: a commitment to building durable, right-fit solutions and long-term relationships.
“Con-Vey’s story is one of steady evolution, not overnight change,” said Dave Larecy, CEO of Con-Vey. “I started here as a shop sweeper in high school, and over more than 30 years I’ve seen how this company grows — by listening, learning, and taking pride in the work. From the early Keystone days to where we are now, the heart of Con-Vey has always been the people who build here.”
Today, Con-Vey is a world-class industrial automation solutions company delivering proprietary, American-made equipment to customers in nearly 20 countries. Its capabilities span material handling for building products, automation technology, bulk and biomass handling, environmental systems, and agricultural processing. In 2018, the company restructured under Con-Vey Holding Inc., supporting multiple operating companies, including Con-Vey LLC and 7robotics LLC.
“Being part of Con-Vey means being part of something that’s deeply tied to this region,” said Jeremy Goebel, President of Con-Vey. “I started here in sales in 2013, and I’ve watched how our teams grow alongside our customers. Our success has always come from taking ownership, staying curious, and showing up for the industries and communities we serve.
As we enter our 80th year, we’re focused on building forward while staying grounded in where we came from.”
Throughout its history, Con-Vey has remained closely connected to Southern Oregon — supporting workforce development, partnering with local schools and technical programs, and investing in opportunities that introduce future generations to careers in manufacturing, engineering, and skilled trades.
During 2026, Con-Vey plans to mark its 80th anniversary with a year-long series of employee, customer, and community-focused initiatives, along with storytelling that highlights the people, projects, and partnerships that have shaped the company over eight decades.
“We’re proud of our history, but we’re not finished building,” Larecy added. “This anniversary is about honoring the past, appreciating the people who brought us here, and continuing to create solutions that last.”
