Christian Castillo recently was named sales manager for MJB Wood Group in their imports business unit.
With 15 years in the wood products industry, from distribution to customer solutions, Castillo is known in the industry for building strong relationships and making an impact quickly. His career spans respected names including Panel-Tech, Holland Southwest, Halo Woods, and Grander Distributing — where he played a key role in driving growth and operations.
Whether it’s manufacturing, import sales, or distribution leadership, Castillo says he has seen nearly every angle of the business — and has loved every minute of it.

As a skilled carpenter outside of work, Castillo has seen how the art of woodworking can begin with just a sheet of paper, and how raw material starts as a tree trunk before it becomes something beautiful and functional. He’s developed a sharp eye for identifying defects — on the job site and at the mill — and a deep understanding of material grading.
From running a distribution center to building one from scratch, he’s done it all. “At this point,” Castillo says with a smile, “I think I was born with wood dust in my veins.”
