The Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) is adding a new feature to its 2026 Spring Leadership Conference with the debut of its first-ever Engineering Summit, set for April 12-14, 2026, at Hotel VDRA in Las Vegas.

Designed for engineers, drafters and technical leaders in architectural woodwork, the new summit will focus on the behind-the-scenes roles that drive project accuracy, efficiency and execution across the industry.

According to AWI, the Engineering Summit will include targeted sessions, panels and discussions covering real-world challenges faced by drafting and engineering teams, including shop drawing submittals, field dimensions, site conditions, best practices and onboarding new talent. The program will feature eight industry specialists sharing workflows, tools and strategies aimed at helping teams improve accuracy, speed, communication and overall impact.

An Engineering Product Fair will round out the summit, giving attendees the chance to connect with suppliers offering engineering-related products, software and technical solutions for the architectural woodwork market.

The new summit will join AWI’s broader Spring Leadership Conference education program, which includes eight in-depth sessions tailored for C-suite executives, business owners and department leaders in the architectural woodworking sector. AWI said nine industry leaders will lead immersive sessions on topics such as financial management, contracts, advanced estimating and project management.

The conference will also feature general sessions throughout the three-day event focused on leadership challenges, strategic productivity and management development for both senior executives and middle-management professionals.

AWI said registration for the 2026 AWI Spring Leadership Conference is open at current member and non-member rates through March 20. Registration gives attendees access to a mix of 19 education sessions, along with the product fair, receptions and other networking opportunities.
