PRESS RELEASE: SCM introduces the newest edgebander in the Minimax line, the ME 35TR, an automatic full corner-rounding edgebander with great flexibility for both thin tape and thick edges. This edgebander is one of five automatic edgebanders in the Minimax line that are built specifically for the United States market for use with PVC, ABS, melamine, laminate and solid wood.
Premiered at the Xylexpo in Europe, the Minimax ME 35TR won first place under the “tooling machine” category for its ability to combine the corner-rounding and trimming features into a single minimal footprint machine with an emphasis on affordability. This applied technology makes this edgebanding machine a must-have product for small to medium sized facilities, the ideal one-stop machine for facing and trimming the front and rear ends of panels, while at the same time, rounding the front and back edges all at a price point that cannot be beat.
The ME 35TR comes with an anti-adhesive unit, panel heating device, diamond dual head pre-milling unit, end-cutting/corner rounding, top and bottom trimming, edge scraping, glue scraping, and buffing units, with 3mm edge processing tooling. The frame is made of high rigidity steel to guarantee excellent support for the faster rotating speeds of the high-frequency operating units. A top thick steel pressure beam with rubber coated wheels, a patented belt feed system, full length panel support roller extender, and user-friendly infeed side mounted PLC control system are all features that helps reduce your workload and any markings from transferring to delicate workpieces.
The anti-adhesive unit prevents the glue sticking to the upper and lower panel surfaces during edgebanding. The new panel heating device helps overcome reaching the desired operating temperatures for glue and edgebanding applications in cold working environments. The ME 35TR also comes with an interchangeable glue pot that allows for the glue pot to be easily removed and replaced. Temperature monitoring of the roller, an even uniform glue spread roller, and auto-sensory cooling are some of the advanced systems in place to maintain optimal glue temperature. The exclusive glue exhaust, easily accessible emergency stop, safety enclosure hood, and padlock capable main switch and overload protection push buttons help ensure the operators safety during use.
