Stiles Machinery Inc. of Grand Rapids, Mich., announces publication of its 20th anniversary course catalog, which provides a complete course description for Stiles Education sessions. Current class dates and seat availability are updated daily.
In May 1990, the first Stiles Education class on edgebander operation presented to six students. From that one course, Stiles Education has grown considerably in both training offerings and number of sessions.
The program’s alumni now total more than 29,000, and many of these students have taken multiple classes to build their expertise and increase their company’s ability to be competitive. Stiles Education is the only training center in the industry to offer accredited classes that exceed the International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and is provides training in compliance with the skill standards as developed by the Wood Career Alliance (WCA) of North America. The program is also recognized by the Homag Group of Schopfloch, Germany, as an authorized training center.
The curriculum also provides training applicable to manufacturers who work with plastics, composites and other advanced materials. “We are very proud to be expanding our program as we continue to create a positive impact on our customers’ most valuable asset: their personnel,” says Duane Griffiths, manager of educational services for Stiles.
