D.Release® Papers by Süddekor (above) add realism and texture to high-fidelity woodgrain prints and will soon be available to the North American market.

Entering 2011, Süddekor LLC is focused on continued growth, introducing new efficiencies and product technologies that augment its single-source integrated service. “Experimental designs and new techniques are not only the future of Süddekor, but of the industry,” says Andreas Gottzmann, Süddekor’s president and CEO. “Together with our customers we are creating the evolving face of decorative surfacing products.”

Gottzmann says Süddekor is no longer just a printer and treater of decor paper for laminate flooring and decorative panels, but rather a full-service provider of surfacing solutions for customers. The model is one that takes the elements of environment, economy, and efficiency into account at all points, serving as a full-service provider of surfacing solutions for customers that spans the creation of original design material through to final product delivery.

“We are dedicated to setting new standards of design, service and quality for decorative surfacing materials, and this includes expert market-specific design direction, on-site professional and creative wood finishing and on-site cylinder engraving and proofing,” he explains. “Control over this process, plus state-of-the-art printing equipment, gives us speed in bringing new designs to print as well as the flexibility to provide products that are
customized and cost-efficient.”

D.Fin® Foils, for instance, were added to Süddekor’s design repertoire in 2010. These foils consist of printed and coated special papers for the surface finishing of wood-based materials, filling a specific industry niche. In addition, D.Release® Papers, which add finishes ranging from super matte to high-gloss to flooring, cabinetry and other wood-industry products will soon be offered, giving North American customers a greater diversity of highly economic surface finishes.

“The market for surface finishes is growing steadily, and release papers give customers a quick and cost effective tool for developing new finishes,” Gottzmann notes, adding that this latest product innovation is just one example of Süddekor’s ongoing attention to consumer needs and industry trends.

Süddekor has also secured FSC certification on some of its printing base papers, one aspect of the company’s commitment to safe environmental practices, and has continued to hone in on its manufacturing, scheduling, and delivery processes to create increased customer efficiencies and cost savings. “By leveraging the synergies between printing and treating and customizing a greater amount of products, we are creating momentum,” says Gottzmann, “and we are poised for positive growth.”
