Rev-A-Shelf's acquisition of the Lazy Daisy product line from Peter Meier Inc. of Connersville, N.C., prompted opening a molding manufacturing facility in Louisville, Ky. The newly remodeled, 177,493-square-foot plant's eight injection molding machines will create functional residential cabinet storage and organizational products for the kitchen, bath and closet industries.

Rev-A-Shelf LLC recently invested more than $250,000 in the expansion, creating more than 60 local jobs, according to a press release. “The acquisition of Lazy Daisy and its integration into our manufacturing process has been a challenging transition, but the fit for our business long-term is perfect," says general manager David Noe. "Given such dramatic market changes, this positions Rev-A-Shelf with the ability to produce every price and quality level that is required by our customers in both wood and polymer products. The added molding volume has helped our manufacturing efficiencies and allows us to control costs. We are very proud of the fact that we have been able to hire more people and expand our business in such a tough economic environment.”
