The Supervisory Board of Pfleiderer AG, a world leader in the manufacture of engineered wood, surface-finished products and laminate flooring, strengthens its executive board, which until recently consisted of Hans H. Overdiek, Pawel Wyrzykowski and Heiko Graeve.
Effective immediately, Ernst Pelzer (52) takes on the newly created board position for restructuring. In this role, Pelzer is to strengthen the board and will play an essential part in the reorganization of the company. He joins Pfleiderer’s approximately 5,600 employees, which represent operation in 22 sites in North America, Western and Eastern Europe.
“Mr. Pelzer has many years of operational experience in industry as well as consulting experience in the fields of restructuring,” said Christopher von Hugo, chairman of the supervisory board. “We are convinced that he can make a vital contribution to the restructuring and reorganization of Pfleiderer AG.”
Ernst Pelzer worked as a consultant at Roland Berger for more than 10 years, most recently as a senior advisor, and he previously oversaw group financing at Schering AG and Hanse Holding. He earned his degree in business administration from the European Business School in Paris and London.
