Northern Contours, a leading manufacturer of cabinet components and membrane pressed surfaces, is set to open a new manufacturing location in Mesa, Arizona. The company is in the process of investing approximately $4,000,000 into facility upgrades, new equipment, and relocating equipment. Hiring is to begin immediately with a plan to recruit up to 100 people over the next 24 months.
“We are very excited about our expansion plans in the southwest”, said Ken Pfarr, President & CEO. “This new facility will provide us an additional 86,000 square feet of manufacturing space, but more importantly, improved freight, reduced lead-times, and increased flexibility to our customers in that market.”
The plant will manufacture a number of existing product lines including both 1-piece and 5-piece thermofoil cabinet doors and drawer fronts, surfaces, and their Level Series of flat laminated acrylic components with production beginning as early as February 2012.
“With the expansion of our sales force to the western states, we’ve gained a number of new customers who have been anxious for us to open a closer facility,” said Lary Skow, VP of Sales and Marketing for Northern Contours. “We are looking forward to growing our business with these new customers and adding many more with our new manufacturing presence."
