DuPont has just unveiled the new DuPont™ Corian® Design Studio in Shanghai, China, custom designed by world-renowned British designer Michael Young. Located at Huashan Square in Shanghai, this new site follows studios in Milan, Italy, and U.S. locations in New York and Philadelphia.
DuPont™ said in a news release that its Shanghai Corian® Design Studio aims to leverage the city’s plans to become a hub of creativity. DuPont reports hopes to turn the Design Studio Shanghai into a platform for interaction and exchange of ideas among architects and designers, inspiring them to practice unrestrained innovation.

The showroom highlights Corian® integrated with cutting-edge technologies, from sculpture to furniture to wall cladding, that holistically bring designs to life. “The DuPont™ Corian® Design Studio Shanghai is adept at bringing Eastern and Western cultures together, drawing from the rich history of Chinese art and building techniques,” said Young, who is based in Hong Kong. “As a designer, I pursue innovation that transcends commonness to foster a delightful and vibrant atmosphere. The supreme ‘thermoformability’ and state-of-the-art techniques allowed by Corian® helped me bring such innovative designs to life.”
