Eggersmann CanadaA four-generation company, Eggersmann Kitchens of Hiddenhausen delivered 863 kitchens and 2,000 sets of bathroom fittings to the Millennium Water accommodations in the athletes' village for the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. The kitchen experts relied on high-quality engineered wood materials by Pfleiderer Industrie and fulfilled all the requirements to ensure the ability to achieve the highest standard of environmental certification, LEED Platinum.

As experts for sustainable, healthy living and climate-friendly living, Eggersmann Kitchens cooperate closely with Pfleiderer Industrie, a Pfleiderer AG subsidiary. The engineered wood manufacturer, with headquarters in Gütersloh, offers among other
things FSC-certified chipboard with an unmatched range of surfacing, which was used for the construction in question. For Millennium Water, a warm, dark grey tone was selected, which is a theme in the three different color combinations throughout
all of the kitchens and baths.

Built according to the highest environmental standards and with high-quality fittings, the athletes' residences in Millennium Water are now, after the winter games, highly-desirable properties thanks to the recently awarded LEED Platinum distinction.
